Lately I’ve been listening to Brandi Carlile. She’s amazing: the voice, the lyrics, the live concert!
However I’m quite worried she’s a bit country and it’s the second country singer I like. The first was Beth Orton. It’s been over a month I’ve only listened to the following albums: Brandi Carlile, The Story and a couple of live performances of Creep and Hallelujah (I get goosebumps when I listen to the first one). I don’t want to like Country Music… But Brandi and Beth are not traditional country singers and maybe that’s why I like them. I like “alternative”, “electronic” and stuff like that.

RISE 12 July, 2008
Tomorrow I’m going to the Rise festival at Finsbury Park. I’m also thinking of going to the Tate Modern and see the Street and Art exhibition that is on display until the 31st of August.
I’m SO bored! I stayed at home because they said it was going to rain and I didn’t really feel like walking (40min) to town. I hope that this will change once I’m closer to Slough and my friends. It’s a SAD thing that I’m just at home doing nothing. I can say I was resting but that’s just a lame excuse for not going out.

I sincerely hope that it doesn’t rain on Sunday cause I’m going into London to the RISE festival at Finsbury Park. CSS are going to be there!!!

I’m listening to Seventh Tree. It’s AMAZING!! It’s quite different from Felt Mountain, closer to Black Cherry but not quite. It’s really good. I love her!

Amy Winehouse has just finished her concert at Rock in Rio Lisbon. Apparently she’s trainwreck… and so was the gig… She left the stage saying there were too many people, then returned, then ate, drank and sang with a sore throat… People waited more than 1 hour for a 45min concert! This is ridiculous! If I was there I’d demand a refund! What a shame…
I’m not a huge fan of her. Not really my cup of tea. Can’t really stand more than 2 songs in a row. Still, the girl should really get some help, before it’s too late.
